1. Provide a picture or the actual final product from this project.
2. Who did you get the most help from? How did you use feedback?
I would say that most likely Pontea because she had followed through with me throughout this project, for example while working on the electrical circuit for my butterfly including the motor. I had took all of her feedback into consideration in order to make my work gradually better and better. Without her help I don't think that I would have been able to complete this project because it was a lot to do since the Humanities part had been incorporated into the Physics half in which for the final product at exhibition the Physics and Humanities had both conjoined as a whole.
3. What did you make in this project? What are a few things you learned?
During this project for the Physics half I had created a Parallel Circuit that had consisted of four resistors, four led's, and wiring that had kept everything conjoined within each other, Not only did I create a Parallel Circuit is I also made a motorized component in order to make the wings flap up and down, after I had completed these components I had lastly cut up miler into the shapes of the wings then I had colored the wings with the symbols of a man and a man in which inside the symbols had been the colors of the rainbow that had been a representation of the flag for Same-sex marriage, eventually all of these components had came together as a whole. I have now learned how to connect wiring from a motor including from led's to a switch, it had took me a while to get everything connected while also figuring out why the wiring's had to be lined up with one another. I have also learned the con side of Gay Rights, in which they basically refer to the bible behalf of religious reasons.
4. What went well in this project?
I would say working on the Electrical Circuit, even though when I approached this component it had been sitting in which had resulted in being loose within the resistors, led's, and lastly the wiring that had held the resistors and led's together, eventually I had been able to fix the Electrical Circuit. After I had fixed the Electrical Circuit I had tested it and everything had worked the way it was supposed to. Then after, I had completed working on the Electrical Circuit I had attached the Circuit laying on top of the wings. Not only did the Electrical part worked out well in the end everything had conjoined and been a wonderful end result. In the end the butterfly had consisted of a motor, miler, a battery, and one switch that had controlled the lights and motor.
5. What struggles did you have and how did you overcome them?
I feel that I had the most struggles with connecting the wiring from the led's and the motor to the switch, while basically feeling pressured cause we only had a certain amount of time to finish the final product that had to consist of miler, lights, a battery, a switch, and a motor. The day of exhibition I had been doing touch-ups on my butterfly, which I had been working on wiring the led's and the motor to the switch, eventually I had been able to wire everything together and the final product had turned out lovely my one switch had turned both the motor and led's on and off all at once. Not only did I work on the wiring of the motor and the led's to the switch is, I also had to cut out pieces of miler into the shapes of my structured wings, while also I had colored the miler in order to incorporate the Humanities half which was going more in-depth with our topics in which my topic had been gay rights so on the miler I had drawn the symbols of a man and a man with the coloring of the flag which had been a rainbow in the middle of the symbol.
6. What things did you do well concerning work ethic and what could you improve on?
I feel that overall I had worked productively in which I had been able to complete all of the requirements that had been needed to be incorporated into the butterfly which was miler, lights, a battery, and a switch. I feel that I could have improved on the different components that had consisted in the butterfly such as, working on the wings, and connecting the wiring from the led's and the motor to the switch. The reasons why I feel that I could have improved on the wings is cause I had took a longer time on this component then I should have in which I could have started working on my mechanical part of the butterfly which had consisted of using the wire that had been attached to the motor and led's, then attaching the wire to the switch.
7. How would you change this project?
I would have possibly stretched the project out more so that we could have had a little more work time in order to take our time not feel rushed in which would result in a good outcome. Another that I would change is just to either incorporate Physics or Humanities instead of conjoining the two together. When you conjoin Physics and Humanities into a project it makes it harder to come to completion of the different components while also learning from the different components. But, honestly for this project I feel that it was necessary and fun to incorporate Physics and Humanities, it just had been a lot to come to completion with. Also I feel that if this project had only consisted of Physics or Humanities it would have been harder to get the point across.
