9th Grade Career Day
A) What category did you get on your career survey? Is it accurate? Why/why not?
The Career Path results that was my #1 choice was, Education & Training M.) Teaching: Interest in planning, managing, and providing education and training services, including support services, library and information services. Throughout looking for a career I've always looked towards wanting to be a Doctor until I had shadowed one of my mom's friend in which I found that this really isn't my thing cause i'm not able to see others suffering. Although, I have been told numerous times that I would be a good teacher and have lot's of experience, I really didn't see it Once I took this Career Path quiz it had given me a result that I should look towards being a teacher. I now feel the desire to look towards being a teacher since I've so much experience with teaching elementary students how to read and so forth.
B) What are your expectations for career day? What do you hope to get out of it? What are you afraid of?
My expectations are to be able to follow through with this career, wanting to become a Teacher throughout my High School years. I hope to be able to shadow an elementary teacher and see if it really is my thing early to give me time and an outlook if it's really mu thing not to find another interest. I am afraid of not being able to follow through with being a teacher last minute and than I'll have to rush and find a career that might not even fit me and then I'll regret not following through with being a Teacher.
